Dortmund as a hub for the healthcare industry!

More than 20 percent of all employees in Dortmund work in the healthcare industry, 1,337 additional jobs were created in this industry last year. Renowned institutes and competence centers such as the Leibniz-Institut für Analytische Wissenschaften (ISAS), the BioMedizinZentrumDortmund and the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology are based in Dortmund.

Dr. Peng Wu is a group leader at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology (MPI). In our new series "Why Dortmund? Look behind the scenes!", Dr. Wu talks about his work at the Chemical Genomic Centre of the MPI and why he chose Dortmund as his new professional home.
